Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the state working committee meeting held at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in the presence of BJP chief and Union Minister J P Nadda on Sunday, July 14. Adityanath urged all the MPs and MLAs from the party to begin with the preparation of the Assembly-by-election polls which will be held on 10 seats in the state, along with the Assembly polls of 2027. CM Aditynath also emphasized bringing up the BJP flags in the state once again.

Adityanath Points Out Overconfidence Led To Expectations Getting Hurt

Adityanath pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP has always gained significant success in the state of Uttar Pradesh in the years 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2022. BJP had always pressured and challenged the opposition with its vote banks. Furthermore, he says that BJP managed to achieve similar results in the recent Lok Sabha Elections of 2024. However, they could still not make up to the party’s expectations. Adityanath suggests that the party’s vote-shifting and overconfidence have resulted in their expectations getting hurt. He explains that the opposition that used to be on the ventilator earlier, has now acquired some oxygen.

Emphasis On Division Of Power On Caste Lines

Yogi Adityanath also addressed the division of castes and its impact on the outcome of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He cautioned party members to stay vigilant against the division of power along the lines of caste and urged them to immediately refute any false claims or rumors by being more active on social media. He credited all party leaders and workers for the party’s achievements, especially the success is making Uttar Pradesh a mafia-free state, and the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He suggested that party members have worked hard and must not take a step back now.

Adityanath Recalls BJP’s Achievements

Adityanath further claims a sense of security in Uttar Pradesh in current times. He takes the reference of Moharram days when houses used to be demolished in the name of Tazia, Peepal trees were being cut and wires were being removed. Now, during Moharram, any poor huts or any of the wires are not touched. He ruled that all festivals must be marked within rules, denoting the BJP’s commitment to governance by law. He further recalled the party workers’ efforts in unison during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yogi Adityanath concluded by suggesting that our country is ‘scattered’ but if people come together and work in coordination, even the greatest power will fall before them. In the Lok Sabha elections, the Samajwadi Party won 37 seats in UP, Congress won four, while the BJP secured 33 seats in UP, with a downfall since it won 62 seats in 2019.
