The 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks has been identified as the suspected shooter of the former President of the United States, Donald Trump. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has uncovered that the shooter was from Butler, Pennsylvania. The shooter had allegedly shot Trump from over 130 yards above the stage on which Trump was delivering a speech to his speech ahead of the Presidential elections where he will be challenging President Joe Biden. Crooks had fired multiple shots from a manufacturing plant roof. 

Crooks Shot Dead Immediately By The Secret Service Counter-Sniper

Upon the shooting, the bullet grazed the upper part of Trump’s right ear leading to an injury as he narrowly escaped from the attack. Although, a bullet shot hit a 50-year-old bystander behind the stage and killed him. Two more people were injured. The Secret Service Counter-Sniper team neutralized Crooks immediately by reacting immediately to the attack and aiming right for a headshot. The agents also gathered on the stage right on time shielding Donald Trump and evacuating him from the stage. Although Trump could be seen in pain he impressed supporters and critics after he raised his hand in a fist, suggesting a powerful resilience. 

Super Smart In School, Never Showed Interest In Politics

Thomas Crooks was allegedly armed with a semiautomatic AR-15-style rifle. Officials have said that the gun was purchased by his father. Reportedly, Crooks was a registered Republican and was negligible for casting a vote in the November 5 elections in the US. He also had made a $15 donation to a Democratic Party cause. He was part of a local shooting club at Claiaton Sportsmen’s Club. The club responded to the shooting by calling it a senseless act of violence. He was employed as a kitchen worker as a dietary aide, the administrator expressed shock and dejection claiming that Crooks was always disciplined at the job. Officials questioned a classmate of Crooks’s from high school, who reported that Crooks was super smart at school and his interests laid heavily upon building computers and playing games. He was never much into politics.

Shock And Unsettlement In Bethel Park, Pennsylvania 

Residents in Crook’s neighborhood also expressed surprise, claiming that Bethel Park in Pennsylvania is a blue-collar area and a sedate city of just 33,000 people. The shooter’s gun, AR-15-style 5.56 caliber rifle had reportedly been brought legally by his father. During the questioning of the owner of the Allegheny Arms and Gunworks, he disclosed Pennsylvania’s culture of hunting and fishing, as a result of which there are tons of gun clubs in town. When the police asked him if he sold a gun to the suspected shooter’s family member, the owner declined saying that it was between him and God.
