Tragic Discovery in Farrukhabad
In a chilling incident, the bodies of two Dalit girls, aged 15 and 18, were discovered hanging from a tree in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. The tragic event unfolded early Tuesday morning, sparking a major investigation.
Search Turns to Tragedy
The girls had gone to a local temple to witness the Janmashtami celebrations the previous night. When they failed to return home, their families began a frantic search. The bodies were later found in a mango orchard near Kayamganj.
Initial Findings
According to Farrukhabad’s Superintendent of Police (SP), Alok Priyadarshi, the girls were found hanging from a single ‘dupatta,’ which was tied around the tree. A mobile phone and a SIM card were also recovered from the scene.
Allegations of Murder
While the police initially consider the deaths to be suicides, the families of the deceased have raised serious concerns. They allege that the girls were murdered before being hanged. The exact cause of death will be determined after a post-mortem examination.
