On 9th January 2024, Mumbai: Popular actress Jheel Mehta aka Sonu from Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah shared the reason behind quitting the entertainment industry. Apparently, actress Nidhi Bhanushali who played the role of Sonu after Jheel from 2012-2019. Later, she also quit the show as she wanted to focus on her education. Currently, actress Palak Sindhwani is playing the role of Sonu. Well, Jheel Mehta recently got engaged with her long-time boyfriend and enjoyed her life.

Jheel Mehta Shared The Reason For Quitting The Entertainment Industry
Around 2008-2012 Jheel Mehta played the role of Madhvi Bhide and Atmaram Bhide’s daughter Sonu bhide who left the entertainment industry. She shared the reason behind quitting the show she said, “I wanted to focus on my education and complete my studies. Working in Taarak Mehta was a great experience, but at that point I felt it was important that I finish my studies and then decide what I want to pursue as a career.”
Jheel Mehta Loved To Do Makeup Rather Than Acting
Talking about being a make-up artist Jheel shared, “I keep sharing videos on beauty and hair styling online. I enjoy this profession more than acting. Once I grew up, I enjoyed styling and make-up more than acting, so I decided to switch professions.”
