Jaya’s Introduction Led The Ministers Laughing Uncontrollably
Jaya while talking to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, introduced herself in a way that led Jagdeep burst out in laughter. Jaya said, “Sir, me Jaya Amitabh Bachchan, wants to ask you…” Before Jaya could finish the sentence, Jagdeep already was seen laughing out loud and banging his table. Jaya also engaged in the laughter. Jaya asked Jagdeep whether he received a lunch break. Jagdeep said no. Jaya continued, “That’s why you are taking Jairam ji’s name continuously. You can’t digest your food without mentioning Jairam ji’s name.”
Jagdeep’s Reply
On this accusation of Jaya Bachchan, Jagdeep said, “Let me tell you on a lighter note, that I did not take a lunch break but after that I took lunch with Jairam ji.” Jagdeep further made the environment lighter by saying, “This is the first time that I am both your fan and Amitabh ji’s fan.”
Jaya’s Earlier Outrage On Her Introduction
On July 29, Jaya was introduced as “Jaya Amitabh Bachchan” by the Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh. She expressed her objection on being referred to as “Jaya Amitabh Bachchan,” by saying, “Sir Jaya Bachchan would have sufficed.” Harivansh said that he spoke Jaya’s full name as it was written on the paper. Jaya looked angry while saying, “There’s a new way that has come out that women must be known from her husband’s name. They do not have an existence or achievements of her own.”
