TSRTC And APSRTC Suspend Bus Services
Both the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) and Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) have suspended bus services between Hyderabad and Vijayawada due to the hazardous conditions. The swollen Chimiryala Vagu at the interstate border has further complicated travel on the highway. Buses are being rerouted through Guntur, and vehicles headed for north coastal Andhra Pradesh are being diverted through Khammam.

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar reported that nine National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been deployed to assist with rescue operations.
99 Trains Cancelled, 54 Diverted
The heavy rains have also caused significant damage to infrastructure. Railway tracks have been washed away, leading to the cancellation of 99 trains and the diversion of 54 others. Floodwaters have submerged several houses and roads, with some residents, including a woman who was killed by a falling rock in Andhra Pradesh, experiencing severe impacts.
CM Naidu Calls From Advanced Technologies
In Andhra Pradesh’s Vijayawada, villages such as Ambapuram and Nunna are completely submerged. The NDRF, along with local authorities, has been working to relocate affected residents to safety. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has reviewed the situation and asked for advanced technologies like drones to assist in assessing the flood’s impact.
