Chhatrasal Stadium’s Tradition

Athletes competing from Chhatrasal Stadium in India have won in wrestling. Some of these winning wrestlers of Olympics are Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt, Bajrang Punia, and Ravi Dahiya. Before the untimely death of Aman, his father had enrolled him at the Chhatrasal Stadium in 2013. It then became his home and the wrestling mat filled his void. Aman’s coach Lalit Kumar said, “Aman was under pressure to uphold the legacy of Chhatrasal. After Sushil Kumar, several wrestlers from Chhatrasal won medals, and Aman has continued that tradition. The atmosphere here is festive; the wrestlers are dancing and celebrating.”

Aman’s statement

Aman after winning the bronze medal in an interview said, “I had come here thinking about gold but now I have to be satisfied with bronze. I’m feeling very happy for my country. During the 2028 Olympics we will go again with the ambition for gold for the country. I have not slept for two nights. I was thinking about the Bout. What should I do in the bout and how should I do it. I used to walk in the lobby thinking about wrestling. The bout happened the way we planned it.”
